Masters 2024: Snooker Calendar Begins at Alexandra Palace
Defending Champion Judd Trump Returns to Action
Ronnie O'Sullivan Leads Head-to-Head Battle Against Ali Carter
The 2024 snooker calendar kicks off at Alexandra Palace with the prestigious Masters tournament. Some of the world's top players, including defending champion Judd Trump, will be vying for the coveted title.
O'Sullivan, a seven-time Masters winner, is the clear favorite heading into the event. He currently holds a 17-1 head-to-head advantage over Carter, who is a two-time Masters runner-up.
Despite the lopsided record, Carter is confident that he can upset O'Sullivan. "I know it's a tough ask, but I'm playing well and I believe in myself," said Carter.
The Masters is an annual fixture on the snooker schedule and has been held at Alexandra Palace since 1975. It is the second oldest Main Tour event after the World Championship.
